Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the construction of the Blackhawk Statue by famous sculptor Lorado Taft, the festival is centered around the region's Native American and western heritage.
The majority of activities will occur in Lowden State Park, which is the location of the Blackhawk Statue. Enjoy a Wild West Cowboy Show, Native American dancers and drummers, cultural demonstrations in flint making, beading and leather work and a display of decorated tipis.
Saturday evening features the Outdoor Eatery & Saloon, including a beer garden and country music with a tribute to Johnny Cash by performer Terry Lee Goffee. Sunday events include an 8K run-a-muck and tube ride down the Rock River, as well a the Oregon Lions Club Pancake Breakfast and Canoe Rally. For additional information visit www.oregontraildays.org.
