The Fields Project
June 18th - 26th
The 13th Annual Fields Project begins on June 18th. Fourteen visiting artists will spend nine days with a farm host family, sharing and learning how farmers produce food for their table and how artists produce "food for the soul".
Three artists will do Field Sculptures. Flagged and marked fields will be mowed and create field sculptures to be viewed from the air. Airplane rides will be available Saturday, June 25th and Sunday, June 26th at the Ogle County Airport. Call 815.499.0490 for reservations.
This year sculpture trail bus tours will be provided during the festival beginning in Mix Park, starting at 10:30. The cost is $15 per person and tickets are available at the festival. For additional information visit the Fields Project web site . Sculpture Trail brochures, maps and a slide show are available online.

Camping, Hiking, Boating and More ..... The good old summertime ..... it's just around the corner. Escape to Oregon, Illinois and enjoy the natural wonders that surround us. We sit in the heart of the Rock River Valley, surrounded by scenic bluffs with the statue of Blackhawk overlooking our community. The Rock River runs through town offering boating and fishing opportunities, and there are three state parks and a state forest nearby. In addition to the opportunities for recreation , we have a church camp (LOMC) and an actual castle (Stronghold) for visitors to explore and enjoy. Stop out and visit Oregon. We look forward to meeting and getting to know you! _________________________________________ Find Out More About Our Community | Soldier's Monument on the Courthouse Square |
