Not interested in a full meal?  Then join us Saturday evening at 5pm at Pinecrest Community Center in Mt. Morris.  Enjoy a tasting of a variety of wines, as well as nibble on tasty morsels provided by area restaurants.  Tickets for this event are $20 per person, and can be purchased at the door or in advance from the Oregon Chamber office.

Veteran's Appreciation Day at the Museum on Sunday, May 1st from 2-4pm.  Veterans, their families and any other visitors are invited to see the revamped Veteran's Room as well as view displays from their collection of military and veteran's items in other rooms of the museum.

 

The museum is open on Thursdays from 9am to noon, and beginning May 15th through September it will also be open on Sundays from 1-4pm.  You may contact the museum at 815.732.7545, or for additional info on programs and tours, contact Bill Bailey at 815.732.7002.

 


Route 2 Closing
Beginning Monday, April 4th, Illinois Route 2 will be closing between Oregon and Byron.  Traffic will be routed down River Road on the east side of the Rock River.

Fishermen (and women)
Rock River Outfitters, Inc wants to remind all of you that as of April 1st your 2010 fishing licenses have expired.  Customers have been bringing in news of catches of Walleye, Northerns, Muskies and Catfish from the Rock River and other area streams.
