Art On The Hill....Rock River Center Fundraiser

Lorado TaftPinehill Inn will host the third annual Art on the Hill on Sunday, August 29th.  Art can be viewed from 2pm-3pm, with a live auction beginning at 3pm in the carriage house.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Rock River Center Building Fund.  Wine, appetizers, music and art are on the agenda.  Tickets may be purchased in advance by contacting the Rock River Center at 800.541.5479, or will be available to purchase at the event.

Dairy Queen Comes To Oregon
 
Blizzard Lovers get ready !!  A new Dairy Queen Grill & Chill is coming to Oregon.  It will be located in the 200 Block of East Route 64, just across the bridge.  The ground breaking was August 18th, and the probable opening is late November.

Oregon Park District Triathlon

The Oregon Park District hosted a Triathlon in July.  Check out this great video from YouTube that shares not only the results of the Triathon but also many reasons to visit our great community.

Oregon Rotary Club Hosts Mark Twain Event

mark twainPaddlewheel Boat Rides, Dixieland Jazz Music and a Picnic on the Waterfront.  Join the Oregon Rotary Club at their Mark Twain Event on Saturday, September 11th, from 5pm till 11pm.  On the deck of Maxson's Riverside Restaurant and the Paddlewheel Inn.  Tickets are $30, may be purchased in advance from any Oregon Rotary Club member, or by calling 815.732.6106.  They will also be available that evening.

The Oregon Sculpture Trail

Lorado TaftThe Community Art Legacy Committee has recently added two sculptures to the Oregon Sculpture Trail.........  "Solar Reef", placed in Oregon Park West, and "Making Hay", located in front of the Stillman Bank on Highway 2 North.  Check out the link to not only the two new additions, but to all of the sculptures on the Sculpture Trail
