We the Ambassadors, Mark Barone and Marina Dervan, have created 'An Act of Dog' (A Non-Profit 501c3), for the sole purpose of protecting the lives of our beloved Companions, by ensuring that all of America's Shelters adopt the proven and successful lifesaving model....
The No-Kill Equation
It will take Mark2 years to paint, what we kill in one day! Using Art for Social Change, we will raise $20 million dollars, to be donated in its entirety to No-Kill Shelters, Rescue groups, and towards other Medical needs, Spay and Neuter costs, Rehabilitation programs, and the very important pro-active Marketing campaigns.
Mark Barone (a Chicago Native) an established and successful Artist for over 30 years, is painting all of the 5500 Dogs, whose loyal spirits were needlessly killed. Even though we have chosen to paint Dogs, our goal is that all animals in shelters, including Cats and Rabbits, will be saved.

Scooter (dog next to Clover) is an incredible dog ready for adoption. Scooter gets along with dogs and kids and would make a great addition to a stable pack.

The No Kill Equation
If every animal shelter in the United States embraced the No Kill philosophy and the programs and services that make it possible, we would save nearly four million dogs and cats who are scheduled to die in shelters this year, and the year after that. It is not an impossible dream.
