Accreditation: Keeping Us Honest
|
By Deryck Durston
This week marks a spot along the road to re-recognition of the Accreditation Commission by the National Advisory Committee on Institutional Quality and Integrity (NACIQI) in what has been a focused effort made over the last several months to prepare our "self-study" and respond to "site team reports I&II." After meeting with NACIQI, our call will be to prepare ourselves to answer the expected "notations" and come into compliance within the next year. Just as in our ACPE accreditation process, we will be required to add new policies, communicate them to our membership, implement them, and document our implementation.

A Message from the FCPE Board President
|
By The Rev. Dr. Greg Stoddard
As most of you know, the Foundation for Clinical Pastoral Education (FCPE) is the fundraising entity for ACPE. The Foundation is responsible for development of resources, management of the endowment and safeguarding of ACPE assets. While ACPE and FCPE are technically and legally separate, FCPE exists to support the work of ACPE.
I am happy to announce that we now have Len Al Haas and Nancie Smith supporting our fundraising efforts and assisting with office management and administration. In addition to Andrea O'Neal, they will function as staff as the Foundation marches forward in advancing ACPE's goals.
Please feel free to contact Len Al at lenal@acpe.edu with questions or comments about FCPE.
