Racial Ethnic Multicultural (REM) Network 25th Invitational
in community with the
ACPE Annual Conference
|
A big "Thank You" to those that have pre-registered for the REM/ACPE Joint program, to be held February 8 - 11, 2012. We are very pleased to share with you that the registration response to this historic joint conference has been overwhelming. We have more registrants than in the history of the REM Invitational and the ACPE National Conferences!
As we are at a sell-out crowd, we regret that some of our very special, celebratory segments of the program have been closed and no more tickets are available: the Presidential Dinner, the REM Invitational 25th Anniversary Celebration at Howard University, and the Annual ACPE Members' Meeting.
Pre-Registration has officially closed. All additional registrants will have to register on-site for the available events.
However, registrations are available on site as space is available. The Friday Night Birthday Party and Celebration is still open to registrants and most of the educational opportunities are still available for your participation.
We are offering registrations on a daily basis only, and the rates are noted on the On-Site registration form below. Payment will be due in full at time of registration in order to participate in the conference.

New in Print!
|

The Rev. Dr. Dagmar Grefe, Spiritual Care Manager and ACPE Supervisor, at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, Los Angeles, CA has a new book published.
"In a world that is increasingly becoming the 'global village,' the ability to understand and appreciate religious differences is crucial. Dr. Grefe's work challenges us to think of creative ways to engage with our neighbors, whether they be in the community or in the institutions in which we work. Her practical approach invites the reader to consider the theoretical framework out of which her ideas emerge, but also the realistic ways in which we all have the ability to change and embrace the 'other.'"
BISHOP TERESA SNORTON, Presiding Bishop, Christian Methodist Episcopal Church

Request for Proposals
|
The John Templeton Foundation and the HealthCare Chaplaincy has issued a call for proposals. This initiative, entitled "Growing the Field of Chaplaincy Research in Palliative Care," aims to build capacity in the field of chaplaincy research in palliative care by creating an interdisciplinary network of experienced researchers and board-certified chaplains, promoting career development of participants, and supporting field-advancing research projects to better understand chaplaincy care in palliative care.
