Key Actions: Board of Representatives

By President Sally A. Schwab

Sally SchwabTo assure that information is communicated quickly and clearly from the ACPE Board of Representatives to the ACPE membership, I have summarized key actions from our most recent ACPE Board meeting by conference call. Please talk with your ACPE Board Representatives in your region if you have questions, suggestions and concerns.

The ACPE Board of Representatives met July 21, 2011. Joining the meeting were Ted Trout-Landen, chair of Personnel Committee; Mark Jensen, chair of the Executive Director Search Committee; and Paula Teague, chair of the ACPE Strategic Planning Work Group.

The ACPE Board of Representatives accepted an invitation from David Johnson, President of the Association of Professional Chaplains, representing the APC Board of Directors, to enter into more deliberate conversations between the ACPE and the APC about ways to further collaborate and explore possible organizational consolidation. The ACPE leadership will meet with the APC Board of Directors in September and members of the APC leadership will meet with the ACPE Board and Commission and Committee members at the ACPE Leadership meetings in November.
