The weather has been cooler at Ironhorse than other regions so Ironhorse is a great place to beat the heat. Average daytime temps are in the eighties with nighttime temps in the 60's. The road conditions are excellent and the traffic is reduced due to schools returning. Ironhorse Motorcycle Lodge in conjunction with MotoMark1 just completed the first BOCC or Basic Overland Confidence Course, which consisted of 3 nights lodging, meals, and two days training on dual sport motorcycles (yours or a rental from GSM) on NC gravel and asphalt roads.
