Greetings!
The aspens turn gold, but October turns pink! Buildings are draped in pink. Yogurt lids are pink. Even the NFL wears pink! Yes, it is October and that is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Time to schedule your mammogram if you meet the criteria. Learn how to do that self-exam; your health care provider will show you how to do this important exam or click here for our information. Encourage your friends, your mom, your sisters, and your daughters to take a few minutes every month to give the 'girls' a check! Why not treat yourself to some pretty new lingerie after you get that mammogram? Check out leSoutien, the same company that shares bra-fitting tips with us! For those tips, follow this link.
Don't be shy! Be dry! If you are suffering from some of those 'unmentionable' problems with your bladder, mark your calendar for Tuesday, October 18. Dr. Volin will be the special speaker at a seminar for the latest technology for the diagnosis and treatment of bladder and pelvic prolapse problems. See the details below.
The cooler weather signals time to pack away the picnic blanket and haul out the slow cooker. We added a link to a great recipe for a slow cooker pesto lasagne. Dinner won't happen any faster unless it's from a takout container!
In the next few weeks we will implement a great new notification system. Think of the convenience in getting a text message or email about your upcoming appointment!
EHR Deconstructed outlines our protocol for protecting your personal information. Not only do we take your information seriously, but we are being green about it!
Enjoy the cooler fall weather!
Sincerely,
The Women's Health Group 303-280-2229/303-665-6016

| Don't Be Shy......Be Dry! |
Do you find the restroom before you find your restaurant table? Do you sit in the back of the room so you can sneak out of your meeting for a quick run down the hall? Is sleeping all night a thing of the past? Don't let a leaky bladder take the fun out of life! Bladder issues affect women of all ages, including young moms!
Hear what the experts have to say about your:
'Dropped' bladder
Discomfort
Leaking
Pain
Join us for a FREE (yes, free is always good!) seminar!
Pelvic Organ Prolapse and Incontinence in Women

Westminster Rec Center, 10455 Sheridan Road, Westminster

There are non-surgical and minimally invasive surgical techniques available, including the daVinci Robotic Surgical System, now available at North Suburban Medical Center. The seminar is free, but reservations are required.
Don't be shy. Be dry! |
The days are getting shorter but your schedule isn't! How about a slow cooker meal to make life a little easier? Soups, stews, and chili are all great slow cooker dishes. Cooking Light's website has hundreds, if not thousands, of great recipes and we found a good looking lasagne recipe. Frozen, chopped spinach will work in this recipe and is a great time-saver! For the recipe, follow this link. Add a quick salad and some warm, crusty bread and you have dinner on the table in a flash! Dust off the slow cooker and have dinner ready before you walk in the door after a busy day!

High Tech Appointment Notification |
|
In the next few weeks, we will start notifying you of your appointment by email, text message, and/or voice message. Occasionally voice messages get deleted or machines go haywire, we suggest the email or mobile text option. We will ask for your preferred method of contact the next time you come in, or feel free to send us an email to update your contact info now.
Since many of us have our mobile phones close by, why not give the text message a try? We would love to hear your opinion on this new service once it is rolled out. You can contact us at info@whg-pc.com.

Monthly glimpses at the patient benefits of electronic health records |
|
Just what happens to all the private information you give us at the front desk?
- Paperwork is shredded once we enter your data into our computer system
- Credit card info is not stored on site; it is entered into a secure website and your number is blacked out immediately, before shredding forms
- Secure access to records so your information is private; access 'rights' are determined by staff member job description and responsibility
We are big shredders here! According to our secure document disposal company, we have saved over 40 trees in the past year! Another great benefit of electronic health records is secure login is required to access your personal information. There is an electronic audit of every patient's record, so only the staff that has a reason to see your information will have access. "User Rights" are very restricted here to make sure we respect your privacy, your health record, and your billing information.
