There are big changes at The Women's Health Group! We are happy to announce the addition of Stacey Hennesy, M.D. Dr. Hennesy is a Colorado native and has delivered many babies in the Thornton area since she started in practice years ago. Call the Thornton office to make an appointment for all your OB/GYN needs.
Our big move is happening while this email is moving through cyber-space to you. We have combined the Thornton offices, Suites 300 and 301, into one new suite, one floor up. You will find us in Suite 410 now. We will be closed on Friday, June 4, so we can pack and move into our new space. Monday, June 7, our doors will open for patients.
With summer fast approaching, it seems appropriate to discuss skin cancer and preventative strategies. Approximately 2 million people are diagnosed with skin cancer annually.  Dr. Stacey Hennesy joined our practice in May, just in time to make the move with us! Dr. Hennesy has developed strong relationships with her patients by educating them about their bodies and encouraging them to make informed decisions. Dr. Hennesy is a recognizable name for women's healthcare in the north metro Denver area-she has delivered many babies as well as helped hundreds of women from puberty to menopause. Although most people know to apply sunscreen when the sun is beating down, protection shouldn't end in the summer months. Sun protection is important all year-round, especially at the higher altitudes (Hello, Colorado!).
Years ago, tanning with cocoa butter and baby oil was 'the thing to do'. Now we have more information on skin cancer and sun damage. Maybe you missed the chat on sunscreen and are seeing signs of sun damage. There are few ways to prevent further damage or minimize previous damage.
