FACULTY FOCUS exhibitions present photographic works from faculty of the photography studies programs at Daytona State College. This exhibition series is presented each year as part of the regular summer exhibition schedule of the Southeast Museum of Photography. In 2012 we are proud to present a major retrospective of the more than forty-year photographic career of Daytona State College faculty member, Steven Benson.

ALUMNI FOCUS is an exhibition of photographic works from distinguished alumni of the photographic studies programs of Daytona State College and the University of Central Florida (Daytona Beach) that is presented each year as part of the regular summer exhibition schedule of SMP. This year we are proud to present the photographic stylings of Christian Weber, a DSC photography alumni with an extensive and successful career in commercial and illustrative photography and video.

DEPARTURES is a juried exhibition that highlights photography by recent graduates of the Daytona State College photography program. This is the seventh year that the Southeast Museum of Photography has had the honor of showcasing the work of these recent graduates and it will continue to be a yearly summer event at the museum.

The Southeast Museum of Photography is proud to announce the inaugural presentation of the UCF Photography Thesis exhibition. This exhibition features portfolios of recent work by graduating seniors in the UCF Photography Program on the Daytona State College campus.

April 10 - October 14, 2012

 

This project is about the former tenant farmers that lived on Tall Timbers Plantation in Tallahassee, Florida from the early to mid-1900's and honors the important role their families played in the survival of the plantations after the emancipation. This photographic project includes the portraits and accompanying oral histories of the former tenant farmers.

Unless noted otherwise, all museum exhibitions, events and films are presented at the Southeast Museum of Photography which is located on the Daytona Beach campus of Daytona State College at 1200 International Speedway Blvd, three miles east of 1-95.
