Thursday, April 28 6:00 pm Buena Vista Social Club In 1996 guitar legend Ry Cooder entered Egrem Studios in Havana with the forgotten greats of Cuban music; many elderly and retired, to record an album. Cooder returned with acclaimed director Wim Wenders to produce a film about these astonishing musicians. The performers, who tell their stories directly to the camera, wander the streets and neighborhoods of Havana and celebrate the music in performance. |
