POSITION:  Special Projects Coordinator

 

STATUS:     Non-Exempt Position

 

SALARY:     $27,000-$30,000

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary responsibility is to coordinate special projects [community meetings; media events; fundraising events; exhibit and vendor booth events, social media initiatives, etc...] for the Health Planning Council (HPC) and their contracted partners. 

 

PRINCIPAL JOB ACTIVITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.    Coordinate awareness and exhibitor events, community convening events and fundraising events (invitation development and distribution, RSVPs, follow up telephone calls, sponsorships, event space, etc...) on behalf of the HPC and related programs

2.    Update the Northeast Florida Counts health-related quality of life indicator dashboard and related communications and projects

3.    Coordinate the Northeast Florida Counts Advisory Committee

4.    Develop and manage electronic media and social media initiatives (Constant Contact, Facebook, twitter, HPC website etc...)

5.    Develop and disseminate HPC communication (i.e. press releases, newsletters, conferences, speaker's bureau etc...)

6.    Manage and update constituent data base(s) in coordination with the Administrative Assistant and Data Manager.

7.    Assist in the creation, printing and distribution of HPC or program collateral material including annual report, brochures, county health profiles, Assisted Living Facility Guide, and general correspondence.

8.    Prepare reports and other correspondence as needed

9.    Performs other duties as assigned by the HPC Executive Director

 

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports to the HPC Executive Director and Public Relations Consultant

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:

Must have a positive and energetic attitude; Possess solid organizational skills, writing, and communication skills; Be technology savvy; Demonstrate a history of superior customer service; Manage multiple tasks; Ability to work effectively with staff, partners, Board of Directors, and the public.  Must be familiar with database programs, Word and Excel, social media and electronic communication platforms, and adhere to all HIPPA laws and regulations.

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor degree in health communications / promotion, healthcare marketing, preferred.  Must have at least three years of community health outreach, and/or communications and/or special event experience.
