Join Dan Burden for our Day 2 event in Green Cove Springs.
Mr. Burden will facilitate a workshop that will focus on assessing the built environment of a particular community. This training will include: · A look at current policy, practices and achievements as they relate to individual and community health. · A discussion with attendees to understand policy, projects and to assess project scheduling. · An introduction to the principles of Smart Growth and Living Streets, including a review of best practices from around the world · A Walking Audit in which participants will tour areas and assess the street conditions, motorists' behaviors, and pedestrian and bicyclist challenges on-site
The workshop will be held at the Green Cove Springs Administration building and the walking audit will take place in the Downtown Green Cove Springs Community.
