Lean Thinking
In our ongoing efforts to provide best in class service, Gibson Engineering is being trained for Continuous Improvement in an effort to implement positive measurable changes to improve the "Gibson Experience" for our customers. In this Newsletter we have highlighted a few of our vendors who have products which meet the Lean Manufacturing definition of accomplishing more with less including a unique extrusion technology and a very slim light-curtain with interchangeable sender and receiver components.
The core idea behind Lean Thinking is to maximize customer value while minimizing waste  A lean organization understands customer value and focuses its key processes to continuously increase it. The ultimate goal is to provide a perfect value creation process that has zero waste.

Robotunits Modular Automation Systems
The key element of Robotunits is their unique fastenting and extrusion technology, available in 40mm and 50mm size systems, which are fully compatible with each other and all other components. They utilize a large 14mm slot width and depth that allows new dimensions in design and assembly speed.

Individual and Flexible Conveying with a 3 day lead
The main focus of the Robotunits technology is to offer quicker, more flexible and more intelligent solutions. This is true in particular for the Robotunits Conveyors.
The Belt Conveyor System is seamlessly integrated into the Modular Automation System.
The range includes high performance conveyors with a wide range of belt properties with or without cleats in different shapes and sizes. Accumulating, vacuum or magnetic conveyors and custom conveyors outside of the standard dimensions are also available by special order.
 The Just-In-Time conveyor system allows Robotunits to provide a high quality product with very short lead times. Robotunits manufactures a custom made conveyor in just three days.
