Welcome to The Mighty Oak Barrel May Wine Tasting

Featuring: WINES FROM CENTRAL & SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA

 

2008 Jade Mountain White Blend, Sonoma

Varietal Composition: Chardonnay, Marsanne, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Malvasia Bianca, Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier.

This White Blend is a unique, complex blend of white grapes, their winemaker's pursuit of the perfect combination of flavors. This is a multidimensional, multisensory wine offering layer upon layer of aromas, textures and flavors.

Tonight's Pairing: Fresh Crab & Avocado Salad with A Blood Orange Vinaigrette

A by Acacia California Pinot Noir 2008

This wine offers aromas of violets, spice and black cherry with hints of vanilla. The medium-bodied palate includes rich flavors of dark fruits plum, black cherry. The mid-palate presents dark fruit flavors and fine tannins leading to a finish of dark fruit and spice with a hint of oak.  

Tonight's Pairing: Roasted Pork Shank, Pinot Noir Plum Sauce, Arugula Salad

The enticing opaque purple color & room filling aromas of blackberries & smoke. The lush palate loaded with herbs and black currants lightly laced in vanilla & spices is compelling.  

Tonight's Pairing: Coriander Braised Short Ribs, English Pea & Herb Salad, Blackberry Vinaigrette
