The River Memorial has been built as a tribute to River, guide dog in training, who passed away at an early age.
Vicki Shepard and Dr and Mrs. Browning, friends of River, donated the funds to build this tribute at the entrance to the Guide Dogs of the Desert campus.

The River Memorial will beautify the entrance of our campus and remind us that,"this is but a just tribute to the memory of a dog" and to all of our canine heroes.

The unveiling will take place before graduation on Sunday September 18, 2011 -  1:00 p.m. at the River Memorial on the kennel side of our campus.

Under the ADA, businesses that serve the public must allow access to people with disabilities using service animals. A guide dog wearing a harness is at work. Please allow them to do their job! Go here for a business brief from the ADA.
