BRITISH COUNCIL
EnewsletterMarch 2012

Nine lucky winners in Morocco interacted with the website  www.learnenglish.britishcouncil.org to answer questions each month, and each month saw one winner of a Samsung Galaxy mobile, a Toshiba laptop and ... a beautiful iPad 2.

The prizes were awarded at the British Council in Rabat on 22 February, with winners from throughout Morocco. It was a unique opportunity to meet our learners who may not study in a teaching centre, but nevertheless want and benefit from access to our products and services.

The website is designed for learners of English and is also available in Arabic and soon in French, features videos and podcasts, interactive grammar and vocabulary activities, as well as forums and discussion pages where users can interact with other English learners from around the world. It's a brilliant resource for learners and is completely free to use.

This month we will celebrate the launch of the French version. The website will be launched in conjunction with an online campaign with a party in Marrakech with music, celebrations and fun to which you are all invited!

Six people on an online quest for romance. Talking and dancing at speed, they tackle the confusing etiquette of electronic conversation, update their statuses straight to the audience and dance the physical equivalent of poking and tweeting.
