1- British Council Teacher Training Workshops

Training in El Jadida and Kenitra was very successful, with 140 middle and high school teachers attending in two days! Thanks to Larbi Bounsir and Kamal Zehari for their help in this, and to all the teachers who took part and made the day so rewarding.

A two-day training event in Taza was a great opportunity for teachers in the area to share their teaching experience in a workshop on "Teaching Large Classes". We were also lucky to have Rachida Guelzim and Mohammed Hassim share their knowledge and experience on helping teachers learn more about teacher training. Rachida led an energetic workshop on "What makes a good teacher training workshop", and Mohammed informed teachers about ways they could establish Teacher Learning Communities - TLCs.

We'd like to thank both of them for their efforts, and hope to hear more about TLCs from around Moroccouring October we carried out teacher training in Kenitra and Sidi Slimane, for middle and high school teachers. One of the great parts of this training is that teachers are actively involved - all the participants benefited from contributing to the workshops and we hope that this is a great help with your professional development. Many thanks to Omar Marzouki and Kamal Zerhari for organizing this, and to all the teachers involved.

Please contact you local supervisor if you would like to have British Council teacher training in your area - or set up a TLC with the help of the British Council!
