Spring is in the Air!
 Spring
seems to have finally arrived, the snowdrops have gone, the daffodils are out and the sun has
been making the occasional appearance!
We've been a bit confused,
should we keep the woollen fleece lined jackets in our shops or
should we get the beautiful sari silk summer clothes out? In the end the silk won!
We have been very busy since Christmas, in January I went out to Rajasthan to visit our Indian suppliers.
I had intended to only get a modest order as conditions on the high
street have been a bit tough, however my producers had produced so many
lovely samples that I just couldn't help blowing the budget and coming back with three different collections, one silk, one blockprint cotton and one funky bold printed cotton! They're on a slow boat from India and they'll be here soon!
I
was back for a couple of weeks, then I headed off to Bali with the
family, you see we were designing childrens clothes and I needed
specialist input from my daughters!
We also got some more mens batik
shirts and more craft items for your home including our famous giraffes. Again they're on their way and unless they get hijacked by pirates off Somalia they'll be here in a few weeks. Don't worry we'll let you know when the new stock is in!

Everyone loves our Sari Silk Skirts!
We have a lovely collection of Sari Silk Clothes, they are beautiful and floaty and very feminine. They are made for us in Rajasthan by Rattan and his brothers who are all master tailors. We have been working with Rattan for the last five years and love his attention to detail and his great eye for matching saris together.

Cheaper Shipping
We have managed to negoitate some good deals with the post office and our courier company and being the generous people that we are we didn't want to keep all the savings to ourselves, so we have reduced our starting UK shipping to £2.95 for our standard service and £3.95 for our express service.
And for our best customers there's free standard shipping if you spend over £75 ( retail customers only)

 I went out to Thailand last year and came back with these beautiful hand carved Mango Wood Vases. They are both beautiful and stylish and look great filled with dried flowers. They come from the area around Chiang Mai in the North and come in lots of lovely designs

I was up in the North of Thailand in the spring and found these beautiful handmade lights. We have six different designs, they are made from handspun cotton and decorated with bamboo & bourganvillea leaves.
