It has been a fantastic end to the school year with over 500
young disabled people competing in regional finals across the country since our

day at Stansted Airport on June 6th, when the Panathlon team
completed 587 miles, which was the 11th highest total in the country !! To date this has raised £7,500 for Panathlon, which will be distrubted to our Essex schools next year, for coaching, new sports equipment and multi-sports competitions.
Javelin Practice ! | A
special thanks to George & Liz MacFarlane, Essex Stansted Police,
Colchester Rugby Club, NW Essex Tri-partnership SSP, and of course the Hilton staff in Stansted - and all the others that

Some of the young people set to benefit from the Hilton Foundation funding in 2010/11 are seen here from Southview Special School in Witham, who enjoyed a inspiring talk from Danny Crates Paralympic champion and Panathlon patron in May, and can be seen above in a Panathlon coaching session.

2010 / 11
Well before we know it we are at the end of another school
year. Panathlon has held a record number of events, over 50 this year and has
invested around £300,000 in coaching funds, new sports equipment and
multi-sport competitions since last September. This has benefitted over 2,500
severely disabled young people around the country. Once we have confirmed budgets with
our sponsors and funders, we will publish our programme for next
academic year. Watch this space! We need to raise a minimum of £300,000 again to repeat this
years success. Please help us reach that total by donating to the Panathlon
charity by clicking here, or by
contacting us with any of your fundraising ideas, by emailing Ashley@panathlon.com
