In an exciting development, the Mayor of London has invested £83,500 of GLA funding into the Panathlon Challenge, as part of the Sports Legacy Plan for London. This will ensure that new London Boroughs are involved this year, and that Panathlon delivers more coaching sessions, provides more free equipment and increases the number of Multi-sports competitions across the Capital between now and July 2010.  Danny Crates, Paralympic champion and Panathlon charity Patron welcomed the new investment and said, "Many thanks from Panathlon to the Mayor of London for helping hundreds of disabled young Londoners enjoy competitive sport."
