Greetings!
  Family safari Tanzania

Daylight Savings Time has arrived. That means spring is a blink away and kids are counting the days until summer. What do you have planned for your family vacation?

Summer doesn't mean it's time to stop learning. Why not give your family the ultimate learning experience?  Plan a safari to Africa to see its natural wonders, incredible cultures and to experience the outdoors in a way everyone will remember for a lifetime.

We at Africa Adventure Consultants have been planning family safaris for over a decade.  We know what camps cater best to families and what experiences hold allure for multiple generations. I have taken my own kids to Africa several times and I've seen them develop a love of nature and the kind of excitement and adventure that brought me to Africa in the first place.

Give the same gift to your own family.  Get away from the computer, the television and your phones.  Take some precious time and spend it with those you love the most, then take away experiences that you'll share forever.

Tanzania Trip Spotlight

Tanzania celebrated 50 years of independence in December 2011.  To recognize this milestone, Africa Adventure Consultants will highlight a special Tanzania itinerary every month in 2012.  Don't forget that we specialize in custom built itineraries, so if you see something you like but want to add or change a camp or activity, remember that we're in the business of creating an itinerary just for you

Family safariThis month, we'll take a look at our Tanzania Family Safari.  What makes a great family safari?  The trip has to have something for everyone.

When planning a trip with kids, it's important to remember that what is fascinating for adults may only hold a younger person's attention for a fraction of the time (and the reverse is also true!).  That's why we build in plenty of diversity to our family itineraries.

Our Tanzania Family Safari blends family friendly lodging (think adjoined rooms or tents, swimming pools and on-site activities) with lots of different things to do.  There's hiking and biking with Maasai tribesmen, visits to a local school, cultural visits as well as traditional activities like game drives, bush picnics and campfires.  Best of all, we have children's pricing which helps with the bottom line.

Call us to talk through the things that get your kids excited and what your dream family safari looks like.  We'll help you create the family adventure of a lifetime.

March TriviaHippo - G Healey

Hippos are susceptible to sunburn, and spend most of their days with just their noses out of water. Their noses even have special flaps that close when submerged.  Do you know how long they can stay under water?

Check our Facebook page for the answer!
