November 2011
Greetings!
Serengeti Migration II - G Healey

It's hard to believe that the holidays are right around the corner.  Before we head into the festive season, we're spending some time in East Africa to get the latest and greatest camp news.  By the time you read this, I will be in Tanzania, with most of my time spent visiting different areas and camps in the Serengeti.  A bit later in the month, another AAC staffer  will visit Kenya to see camps in Amboseli, Ol Pejeta and the Masai Mara.

We at Africa Adventure Consultants pride ourself on the incredibly in-depth knowledge we possess about our destinations.  That knowledge comes from continually investing in our staff so that we have the lastest information and details on camps and areas throughout Africa.  That translates into planning the right safari for you.

We wish you the best this Thanksgiving month and hope that you have the chance to slow down to enjoy time spent with family and friends.

Safari njema,

Holiday Gift Ideas

The holiday season can be hectic with scheduling commitments, shopping and trying to take a bit of time off to breathe and enjoy yourself.  It's a bit early for shopping, but sometimes it's nice to get it out of the way so you can focus on time with family and friends without distraction.  To make the shopping part a bit easier for you, we've compiled this shopping guide for your favorite traveler.  Hope it helps!

AfricAid's Art & Soul

AfricAid Classroom II 2011This September saw the 2nd annual Art & Soul fundraising event for our charitable partner AfricAid.  The event took place at Red Line Gallery in Denver.  Attendance was up, fundraising was up and it was even more fun than the inaugural event!  The best part is that all of the event proceeds help to fund girl's education in Tanzania.  Check out the Safari Journal Blog for  photos and to learn a bit more about the event.

Zambia walking safari - Moira Smith

On foot, the pulse of Africa comes through your boot.  You are an animal among others, chary of the shadowed places, of sudden quiet in the air.
