Greetings!
Grady on his first safari at 7 mos old

Kelly and I have always had a passion for Africa and wanted to share the magic we've found in our explorations with our children.  Our son Grady was only seven months old on his first safari, and we have been back for several family adventures since.  There is always something new to learn and share as a family, and the memories we make on our trips will last a lifetime.

You can read about our most recent family trip here, and to learn more, call us and we will help you to create family memories of your own.

Family safaris - options for everyone

Listwa Family on SafariMost of what we do at Africa Adventure Consultants is customized safari planning. We learn about you and what the perfect trip looks like in your mind, rather than giving you an off-the-shelf trip that doesn't take your vision into consideration. The itineraries on our website are something you can book, of course, but they can also serve as inspiration and a jumping off point for your own dream trip.

Planning a family safari can be a daunting prospect unless you are working with an expert. We have booked hundreds of families on unique and rewarding safaris during our tenure and have traveled with diverse groups; from our own families to multi-generational group trips. We understand the types of activities and amenities that can make or break a day on safari with young children, and what experiences will live forever in the memories of your youngest travelers.

Want to be inspired to start your own trip planning? Take a look at our South Africa Family Safari or our Tanzania Family Safari. Think about sharing a special bush experience with your loved ones, then call us to get the wheels in motion.

We love receiving stories, photos and feedback from our clients; it makes the work we do even more enjoyable.  We regularly share photos with you in Traveler's Corner, our blog and on Facebook, and today we'd like to share some words from a recent traveler.

'I just wanted to tell you that we had a great trip and that was mainly due to Kim Dodson's work!! She was always available, professional, prompt and very pleasant to deal with.

It really was a hassle/worry free, enjoyable trip for me (usually I am the guy who organizes everything...). After having spent a couple of weeks in Africa and hearing stories from our son who lives in Uganda (he is in the Peace Corps and lives in a small village), I have a new level of respect for anyone who does business with Africa! If there is a way of recognizing Kim's work publicly, please do! Thanks again for a well run operation.'

Robert Lacin, MD

Thanks for the kudos, Robert.  We're glad you had a great trip!
