April 2011
Greetings!
  Tarangire family - G Healey

Earth Day is April 22nd and is a good opportunity to remember what is worth preserving and protecting.  Here at AAC, we try to do everything we can to help our planet every day, but Earth Day is a great reminder for us all to ensure we live a sustainable lifestyle in whatever ways we can.

We have built our business model on sustainable tourism.  We believe in using eco lodges in our itineraries; and whether that means they have solar and water conservation systems, community outreach programs, or no electricity at all, we are raising the bar to do more to support sustainable tourism in Africa. Additionally, we offset 100% of carbon emissions for each safari we book.

We also want to say a big thank you to everyone for supporting us in our nomination to Travel & Leisure Magazine's 'World's Best' list. We hope to be named to the official list in the August issue.
