Gail Laviola just returned from a safari in Tanzania where she visited Katavi National Park and the Serengeti. Kavati was one of Gail's favorites and she had amazing game viewing - including the lion attempting to eliminate the vulture...it escaped!

AfricAid Heart & Soul Event is being held on Oct. 23, 2010 from 7-11pm at District 475 in
Englewood, CO. Join AfricAid for an evening of cultural adventure:
African art, music, entertainment and digital stories by
Tanzanian students. Tickets are $100 in advance and $125 at the door. Alert! Serengeti Highway Updates. It's the greatest threat in the Serengeti's history - the government of Tanzania has approved a major commercial highway across the Serengeti National Park, in the direct path of ancient wildlife migration routes. Such a highway would be devastating to the region and eco-system. Read more and learn how to help at Stop the Serengeti Highway. |

October 2010
Greetings!
Each year, many of us look forward to spending the holidays with our family and friends. Some of us flinch at the thought of the stress involved with hosting or being hosted by family members who we may or may not get along with. And still oth ers want to get as far away as possible from Aunt Edna and Uncle George. The solution for everyone (except Aunt Edna and Uncle George)? Go to Africa! Africa is a place the whole family can truly enjoy, from grandpa and grandma to mom and dad and kids of all ages, even the young ones. In Africa, families can come together and celebrate, and enjoy the inevitable bonding that comes with visits to exotic landscapes filled with friendly people and incredible wildlife. Plus, you won't have to do any cooking or cleaning up! If this sounds as good to you as it does to me, now is the time to plan your trip. Availability is limited, and although prices are at a premium, weather conditions and game viewing are excellent throughout most of Africa - and there are a few great discounts still available. So give us a call today and let us help you plan your dream holiday getaway.
Safari Njema,

Wildlife Video by AAC Traveler Mark Hampton...
Africa Adventure Safari veteran, Mark Hampton, enjoyed a safari in Botswana earlier this year. While staying at Duba Plains Camp he caught this amazing footage of a lion pride taking down a Cape buffalo. Watch the full video on our YouTube channel. The lions and buffalo in this area (see photo right) are famed for their tenuous co-existence! Their relationship is captured in the National Geographic film entitled Relentless Enemies.
