How long does the history of civilization stretch back in Egypt? Is the Nile really the longest river in the world? Which ancient powerhouses ruled Egypt over the years? How many Cleopatras were there? These are just a few of the fascinating questions answered on our recent visit to Egypt. This was my second visit there, my first having taken place in my backpacker days. Needless to say, this trip, including our luxury Nile Cruise, was very different, but very rewarding in its own way. From the pyramids, to the temples and tombs, and sailing down the Nile, Cairo, the desert and beautiful beaches -- Egypt has something for everyone!
