The next three courses are "Worship as the Center of Our Life Together." They will meet January 14, 21 and 28, 2012, at the Synod Office in Glendale.
These courses will explore the basic shape and theology of Christian Worship and its expression in the Lutheran Church. It will consider historical patterns of worship as well as the shifting nature of worship in today's church.

The Rev. James Bessey, who will lead these courses, is pastor of Christ Lutheran, Long Beach, and chair of the Southwest California Synod's Worship Committee. He has served parishes in Los Altos, Burlingame, San Francisco, and Berkeley.
