Greetings!
Summer is finally here with some HOT Sacramento days and balmy nights. We've taken our kayak out on several lakes and are looking forward to more BBQs and the State Fair this month. Art fun is always part of my formula for happiness so check out the art happenings in this newsletter. And, oh yes, I'd love to get your opinion on how to finish my latest 3-D clay and recycled metal sculptures.

Kuumba Art Gallery Celebrates FREEDOM - 7/2-7/31
|
What better way to celebrate the birth of our now-multicultural nation than at a gallery comprised of African American artists who make stunning art for everyone? The Kuumba Collective Art Gallery will be the "point of destination" Saturday night (July 2nd) as part of the First Saturday Sacramento African American Arts Collective (SAAAC) Arts Walk. If you haven't had a chance to visit the gallery, this is the perfect opportunity to miss the Second Saturday art walk crowds. You can leisurely experience the Kuumba Art Gallery, Framed by Frankie, Ed Nightingale Studio, and Three Generations Gallery venues at the Del Paso Works Building, located at 1001 Del Paso Blvd., Sacramento, 95815, across from the Acoma street light rail station, near the Del Paso exit from SR-160. And just down the street is Carol's Books, 1913 Del Paso Blvd.
And July 2nd is also the opportunity to visit many other SAAAC events throughout the Sacramento area. More information is on the Kuumba Facebook Page.
