Greetings!

November is the month when Americans collectively give thanks.  We are beginning to be hopeful that the country will be soon back on the mend, with the economy growing and the number of jobs increasing, etc.  So keep hope alive and show appreciation to your family, your friends, and Spirit!

                                                                 Enjoy your Blessings, Kanika

Is There Culture in Elk Grove?  Yes indeed!

Divalicious Garden ArtYou may not be aware, but there is a wonderful art gallery in Old Town Elk Grove - the Elk Grove Fine Arts Center, just on the east side of the railroad tracks on Elk Grove Blvd.  During November, several Elk Grove Artists will sell their fine art paintings, jewelry and sculptures.  I am excited to have several of my large garden art sculptures there now, through November 17th. First Friday Art Walk is Nov 5th, 5-9 PM, but their normal hours are any Weds-Sat from 11-4 PM.

Starting November 18th through December, the Elk Grove Fine Arts Center will be outfitted as a Holiday Boutique full of artful gifts by local artists.  I will unveil my new pottery bowls, new clay hearts, goddess statues, and many more art pieces that would make lovely holiday gifts. And other local artists will have specially-made cards, textiles, sculptures, paintings, and other holiday-oriented arts, at reasonable prices, for your purchasing pleasure.

Crocker Holiday ShowBlack Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, generally signals the start of the holiday season.  I would like to invite you to a very special three-day art show at the Scottish Rite Center, which is a fundraiser for the Crocker Art Museum.  I have done this show for about 13 years now and have a lot of new, one-of-a-kind sculptures that will make great gifts for serious art collectors and friends and family.

Where? Scottish Rite Center,
6151 H Street, Sacramento,
CA, 95819.
Nov 26th, 1-7 PM
Nov 27th-28th, 10 AM - 4 PM.

Sculpture Show at High Hand Nursery Nov 1-Nov 30th

I am so excited to have three very large The Shaman Speakssculptures at the first ArtStock art exhibit sponsored by the Valley Sculpture Artists organization at the High Hand Gallery in Loomis CA, 3750 Taylor Road, Loomis, CA, 10-4 PM Tuesday through Saturday.

NOTE:  The most beautiful nursery in the Sacramento area is on this property, as well as an excellent "Cafe" in a huge glass greenhouse. Truly, you will be amazed by the breadth of plants in tasteful and dramatic design settings, water features, hundreds and hundreds of pots and everything you might need for your landscaping needs.  The Nursery is right next to the Gallery.  If you are like me, you will end up spending many happy hours touring the phenomenal High Hand property.

Making a Goddess Water Feature

Goddess Water Feature"Nature Baby" was my first effort at making a water fountain and she was purchased at the Blue Moon Gallery by a wonderful woman who has traveled Africa several times and goes by the nickname "Aunt Bea." Nature Baby had glass bee ornaments in her hair, so the match was meant to be!

But I wanted to do a garden art show for the Association of Landscape Designers. Amongst my metal and clay garden art pieces, I also want to bring a new goddess-inspired water sculpture.

My Blog shows how this project came together and where it is now.

Thank you so much for supporting me by forwarding this email to anyone you think might be interested in my art.  I depend on people like you to help me become a better artist, so please keep your questions and comments coming and I'll include them in an upcoming edition or on one of my blogs: Spirituality and Art Blog or
Survivor Art Blog.
