SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

November 9, 2011
NEVADA'S BIG GIVE "LIVE" AT MIDTOWN WINE BAR
FOR HORSES FOR THE SPIRIT

Thursday, November 17th, 6pm to 8pm

(Midtown Wine Bar is located at 1527 S. Virginia St.,
at Mount Rose Street in the same center as Mario's Portofino)

Join us Thursday, Nov. 17 from 6 to 8 pm at the newly-opened Midtown Wine Bar to participate in the awesomeness of Nevada's Big Give Live!

In honor of two of our program graduates, Morgan and Jeremiah, who spent a good portion of this past summer preparing for participation

Nevada's Big Give Logo

in the Parelli Wild Horse Taming Naturally event as a way to help promote Horses for the Spirit, I have asked Midtown Wine Bar owner, Rachel Scripps, to host a little shindig for us at her bar.

Morgan and Jeremiah, in preparing for and participating in the Wild Horse Taming Naturally event, demonstrated so many of the life skills that the horses help them learn in our programs: commitment, clear communication, being flexible, courage, soaring with successes and trying again in the face of momentary failure, and balancing being a leader and a partner.

Please come down to Midtown Wine Bar between 6 pm and 8pm on Thursday, November 17th. All donations received at this event will be in honor of Morgan and Jeremiah.

If you make a donation of $25 or more to Horses for the Spirit, you can enjoy a flight of three delicious wines (red or white) hand-selected by Rachel or a glass of wine for a mere $3!

If you make a donation prior to coming to the event of $25 or more, just bring a copy of your receipt with you!

We'll have a private laptop set up so you can make your contribution on the fly, safely and securely. We can also accept checks which will count toward the overall goal of Nevada's Big Give.

We can also use the time to send texts and emails or make phone calls to help us reach our goal!

Be a part of Nevada's Big Give and support Horses for the Spirit and a new small business in Reno all at one time -- wow! So much bang for your buck!

The goal for the 2 hours is to raise is $1000 - which is 1/3 of Horses for the Spirit's overall goal during Nevada's Big Give.

That's just 10 folks donating $100 each or 20 donating $50 each... you get the picture! Raising a $1000 should be a piece of cake... or a glass of wine, anyway!

Maybe we will have cake... and maybe we will have a cool raffle item or two. Come down and be surprised!

(There will be a few raffle prizes and everyone who comes and donates - or brings a receipt showing a donation - to Horses for the Spirit will receive a raffle ticket. Must be present to win.)

WHAT IS NEVADA'S BIG GIVE ANYWAY?

On November 17, Nevada's Big Give will ask residents to make a difference in the lives of their neighbors, family and friends by donating to the charity of their choice. An entirely online philanthropic endeavor, Nevada's Big Give will allow residents to give from their hearts, in an amount completely up to their discretion, from the convenience of one dedicated online portal.
