July E-Newsletter

July 9, 2011
Dear Friends,

Our spring programs came to a close in June and we said bittersweet

goodbyes to the kids who had become a part of our weekly lives. Those of us in the programs with these kids ride the waves of frustration and success with them as they develop skills over the course of their time with us.

An extra special thanks goes to our volunteers who spent over 600 hours combined supporting the two programs (one 6-week program and one 8-week program) - wow!

Bella greets her partner in the pastureWe think one of the best ways to share the experience is through the feedback we received from parents, counselors and volunteers - Click here to read more!

Horses for the Spirit thanks the Reno Rodeo Foundation, Junior League of Reno and our anonymous foundation donor for major contributions to our Spring programs! We couldn't do it without your financial support!

We also want to say THANK YOU to David Lichman, Licensed 5-Star Parelli Instructor, who along with the help of his assistant, sponsored Horses for the Spirit for the Constant Contact Cares4Kids program which means we receive our Constant Contact service free of charge! This saves Horses for the Spirit several hundred dollars a year! Thank you David Lichman!

Sincerely,
Deb Conrad
