We Welcome Back Old Friends

Hugel et Fils Pinot Gris Classic "Hugel" $18

Eitenne Hugel 2009

His family has been making wine - since 1639

This rich Pinot Gris is a 2006 vintage and is the current release (!).

No worries, the Hugel family of Alsace has a method to their madness (they've been doing this for 370 years).

We'll defer to the masters: "Hugel Pinot Gris is one of our family secrets! It is the most food-friendly of all our wines and is ideal with veal, roast chicken, all seafood and even ripe cheeses."  This white wine ages very well. Remarkable!

Mandolin Pinot Noir $15

mandolin pinot noir

The return of one of our favorite litte Pinots with a table wine price. Sourced from vineyards in the Monterey region of California, the Mandolin winemaking style leans toward emphasizing balance and expressive fruit flavors, rather than sweetness or excessive oak.

The result is a very accessible, flavorful wine that appeals to experienced wine drinkers and neophytes alike.

Chateau du Trignon Cotes-du-Rhone $14

Chateau du Trignon Cotes-du-Rhone

This classic red is produced in the southern Rhone, from vines averaging 50 years old at the foot of limestone cliffs of Montmirail. Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre, this red exhibits a smooth deep flavor, with notes of strawberry and currant with an earthy, rustic character.

This producer has been embedded in the Rhone Valley since 1748 - just sixteen years after the stone blocks of our wine cellar were put in place! If you didn't chill it, you might even pretend it was a fruity Pinot Noir. But when you DO chill it, you'll want to collect all the grilled shrimp skewers and crab claws you can find.

We consider all of these wines to be Old Friends - just like many of you.

Please stop by on Friday night and try them - you will not be disappointed.
