Wine Tasting Friday October 22nd 6-9 p.m. - No Charge

A preview of our annual Thanksgiving tasting
Jonathan Edwards Connecticut Estate Chardonnay 2009 $23 Each new vintage of this North Stonington grown and vinted Chardonnay reveals more complexity in a lyrical, balanced Burgundian style. We're really excited to have the fresh new '09 on our shelves.
Winemaker notes: "Crisp lemon and green apple flavors are framed with lights hints of smoky vanilla oak. This easy drinking wine pairs perfectly with seafood and fresh cheeses."Jonathan Edwards Connecticut Estate Cabernet Franc 2008 $21 This is a fascinating CT-grown red, quite light with graceful tannins. Unique, tart, an excellent food wine.
Winemaker notes: "Our only Estate grown red wine, one year of barrel aging highlights the cherry, blackberry fruit flavors and adds some vanilla highlights but keeps the tannins on the finish soft. Drink now or age for 3-5 years."
Clos du Val Cabernet Sauvignon $34
Clos du Val was a pioneer of modern Napa Valley winemaking, since their 1972 inception in the heart of the now world famous cool-climate Stag's Leap District. Lush and elegant, deep garnet-black in color, with aromas of black fruit, complex spices, and hints of toast. A California classic perfect for lingering dinners in the cooler weather.
