Lisa's current projects at Dutton Children's Books include a new anthology from Lee Bennett Hopkins and picture books by Lynn Plourde, among others. She works on both fiction and non-fiction for the full range of ages, but she is most interested in character-driven picture books that speak to children and wink at adults; humorous Middle-Grade fiction; and all genres of literary YA, from historical to contemporary, angst-ridden to snarky.

Kaylan AdairKaylan acquires everything from picture books through upper YA, although she specializes in middle-grade and young-adult fiction. Among the projects she's edited are the YA novels DOWN SAND MOUNTAIN by Steve Watkins and SWIM THE FLY by Don Calame, and the early reader SQUIRREL'S WORLD by Lisa Moser, illustrated by Valeri Gorbachev. She is the American editor of the YA novel THE KNIFE OF NEVER LETTING GO by Patrick Ness, winner of the 2008 Guardian children's fiction prize. Previously, she was the American editor of the Maisy books by Lucy Cousins.

Tim MyersTim is a writer, songwriter, storyteller, and university lecturer in education and English.  He's placed numerous pieces in top childrens magazines (Cricket, Appleseeds, Storyworks, New Moon), and has 10 children's books out or in press, which have won a number of awards and honors.  These include excellent reviews from Kirkus, SLJ, Booklist, and The New York Times, a short stint on The New York Times bestseller list for children's books, and adaptations of his works for drama and dance; in addition, Basho and the Fox was read aloud on NPR, and Basho and the River Stones was one of three nominees for a California Young Readers medal. Tim is also an award winning adult fiction writer.

His illustrations have appeared in publications such as The Los Angeles Times; Buzz, Inc. Magazine; and Latina Magazine. His original artwork can be viewed at Every Picture Tells a Story in Los Angeles and has been accepted into the Society of Illustrators shows in New York and Los Angeles.
