About Our Conference Bookstore and Author Signing Event
For the past two conferences we have sold published SCBWI PAL attendee books and our speakers' publications. It has been a tremendous
success because of Luan Stauss, bookseller, Laurel Book Store and our volunteers. So we are pleased that Luan will host again!
How to Participate
If you are an SCBWI PAL
member (Published and Listed) and are recently published within the
past 3 years, you may feature up to 3 children's titles in our bookstore.
(Copyright must be within the last 3 years.) We will have time for
author signing at lunch and at the end of the conference.
PAL SCBWI members are members that have books or magazine pieces published by, or under contract by, a traditional publisher.
These publishers are listed in the SCBWI marketing survey, or the
educational, small press, religious, magazine, and international
surveys. For a medium other than print, the approved list from the
Writers Guild of America will be used. Additional companies may be
added as they are approved. To become a PAL member, go to
Children's
authors and illustrators of self-published, vanity print books, and
print-on-demand books will have full SCBWI membership, but are not PAL members and are not eligible for the conference bookstore.
How to Get Your Titles Submitted
After registration payment, please email our bookstore coordinator Naheed Hasnat at nhasnat@yahoo.com with the Subject Line: PAL Bookstore Author. You will be emailed googledocs information to directly list and submit
the following information by OCTOBER 4: Name, email, Book title(s), ISBN#, Publisher,
Date Published, link for LOW RESOLUTION Book Cover JPEG.
Our hope is to show your covers throughout the day from a PowerPoint presentation to be prepared by a volunteer. We are seeking a volunteer to assemble this PPT this presentation.
Set Up and Signing at the Conference
