Greetings!

We have had what some people are calling a non-winter. For us, this has meant that construction on the new residence in Duxbury is progressing right on schedule.

You will find posted on our website information from our architect, Will Saltonstall of  Saltonstall Architects giving details about the energy efficient features of the new residence. This is in keeping with our commitment to environmental stewardship. See it by clicking here. New photos should be forthcoming and will be posted on the Construction page.

During the remaining days of Eastertide may we all continue to recognize the risen Christ in all his redeeming work.

Duxbury Spring House Tour May 19

The Duxbury Newcomers' Club's annual Spring House Tour takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 19.

The self-guided tour begins at the Duxbury Rural & Historical Society's Nathaniel Winsor Jr. House and features a number of private homes throughout town. In addition, the Sisters of St. Margaret will open their historic farmhouse and chapel to ticket holders during the tour.

"Each year the tour offers an opportunity for residents and visitors of the South Shore to get a glimpse inside some of the wonderful homes in Duxbury, while also enjoying the many scenic views," Corey Wisneski, who is heading up this year's tour, said.

The tour has been an annual tradition in the town for over 20 years, and all proceeds go to charities selected by the participating homeowners.

Tickets will be available online beginning April 1 at www.duxburynewcomers.com, in addition to in person at The Studio, Foodie's and Talbots for $25. On the day of the tour, tickets will be available at the Nathaniel Winsor Jr. House (479 Washington St., Duxbury) for $30.
