Dear ,

The Advent Tapestry

Advent is a season of preparation. For most people the season is understood solely as a time to prepare for Christmas. But to leave it at this alone, means missing the totality of the meaning of Advent.

The four weeks leading up to December 25th

do indeed provide the opportunity to ready ourselves for the annual commemoration of Jesus' birth in time.

But there is more. Advent also anticipates

Christ's coming in glory at the end of the age.

And yet still more. Advent invites us to a

deeper experience now of God with us.

Advent is a rich tapestry in which all these

themes are woven together. During these preparatory weeks past and future meet, as

first one aspect, and then another, of God's saving grace and mercy, come into view.

The Sisters wish you a blessed Advent.

take a look!
We have added the first set of photographs of the construction of the new residence to the Construction page of our website. We will be adding another slide show very soon showing the near completion of the foundation.

We have
added some photographs of the current residents of the Foyer Notre Dame and a few of the children involved in the Scholarship program to the bottom of the Haiti Update page . The page also included information about both of these vital ministries of the Sisters of St. Margaret.
