PROMOTE YOUR WORK
Patch.com
is offering an exciting FREE publicity opportunity for artists. The community news website has created a column called First Impressions - where an image of artwork is posted each week and readers respond by writing comments about what the work means to them. At the end of the week, the artist posts what they were thinking when they created the piece. Click on the title above to see the first installment featuring local photographer Meryl Spiegel's Scissored, from her Phantoms series. Patch is looking for artists to participate. All you need is a jpg of an image of your work (size: at least 72 dpi, at least 6 x 6 inches) and a paragraph describing what you were thinking when you created the artwork. Email the image and descriptive paragraph with your name, town of residence, name of the work, medium, and artist website to Meryl Spiegel: meryl@merylspiegel.com.
