ART WORKSHOPS with Artist-in-Residence Gena Griffiths
Wednesdays, 5PM-6PM
Cost per session: $10 EEA members; $15 non-members
- Cubist Clay Portrait Plaques: August 8
 (Ages 5-8) - Students will learn how to create a cubist inspired clay relief sculpture. - Sunny Spackle Sunflowers: August 1 (Ages 5-8) - Inspired by the work of post-impressionist Vincent Van Gogh, students will explore the medium of spackle to create texture in their paintings.
 MOM & ME ART Monday, August 13 - Friday, August 17, 10-11AM
Instructor: Liz Vaiana-Cavanagh
Join your little one for a week of art! A unique, multi-generational art class that lets you and your child experience the creative process together. Age-appropriate activities will include painting, sculpture and printmaking. (Ages 2-5 years)

SPECIAL PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN WITH AUTISM

MY OWN ENSEMBLE - ASD/SID Theatre
Persons with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), other sensory integration disorders (SID), can often feel isolated and left out of social and school situations. My Own Ensemble is a theatre workshops offered by the East End Arts School that focuses on building ensemble performance techniques that can help participants experience the joy of belonging and working with a group. This workshop is designed specifically for those with ASD and SID. Participants will engage in a variety of ensemble building techniques, theatre games, fun movement activities and sensory exploration exercises. Together, workshop participants will create a performance based on poetry and music. (Ages 9-14)
Monday-Friday, 10:30AM-12PM, August 20-24
Cost: $90 member EEAC / $135 nonmember
 The workshop is taught by Katheen Morgo AEA/SAG Actor, theatre and movement teaching artist, and certified Special Education Teacher. Kathleen Morgo has 8 years experience as teacher of acting/movement to children across the ASD spectrum. Her classes include the use of the latest therapies in practice including DIR/Floor Time and ABA behavioral intervention techniques. Ms. Morgo has 15 years teaching experience in nearly every theatrical discipline for the past 20 years. She has taught with Inside Broadway (NYC), Periwinkle Productions (NYC), The New York City DOE, Shoestring Players (NJ), Theatre West (CA), UCLA (CA), Equity's STARRS' program (NYC), The Lyric Dance School (LA, CA), The Garden School (Queens , NYC). Morgo has appeared in numerous professional off broadway and touring theatre productions, films, televion programs and has voice several films and commericals.
