Class will meet in a North Fork vineyard. Draw and paint throughout the day with instruction in planning your painting, drawing, and painting your chosen scene. Instructor will help you with composition, planning painting techniques and color selection. Vineyard will be announced later.

East End Arts' newly formed EEA Student Orchestra, comprised of 50 East End middle school string students, will play alongside the Perlman Music Program Student Orchestra, under the baton of internationally acclaimed violin virtuoso and conductor Itzhak Perlman, at this Open Rehearsal, open to the public for free. The EEA Student Orchestra have been rehearsing since early July in preparation for this incredible opportunity with the greatest violinist of our time.

The Perlman Music Program and Southold High School will present students of the Summer Music School in an orchestra and chorus concert at Southold High School, located at 420 Oaklawn Avenue in Southold, NY. The Summer Music School curriculum includes rigorous study of the orchestral and choral repertoire, and this performance allows students to share their studies with the North Fork community. PMP is grateful to Icim and Mark Miller for generously underwriting and supporting this concert. Tickets will be available for purchase at North Fork area businesses, and at the door of the event.

The ornate two-story white marble building was constructed in 1911 as Union Savings Bank and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Museum's open call to artists will accept interpretations of the ICC building exterior in any medium, with a $250 cash prize. OPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS The Retreat, the only non-profit domestic violence agency serving the East End of Long Island, is pleased to announce their 4th Annual Juried Art Show. The show is open to all artists with work in Photography, Painting, 2D, 3D, and Sculpture (no video art). The work cannot be larger than 24" x 36". The deadline to enter is August 1, 2012. Entry fee is $50 per entry, limit 3 entries (1 entry is $50, 2 is $100, and 3 is $150). For 40 years, the NFEC has fought to protect and preserve many of the most scenic areas of the North Fork. NFEC has written and spoken often about these special places but as the saying goes... a picture is worth 1,000 words. NFEC is seeking photography of the North Fork. CALL FOR ARTISTS Together with Obama for America, North Fork artists Sigrid Burton and Max Brennan are hosting an Artists' Harvest Moon Costume Ball on Saturday, September 29, from 7:30PM to 11PM at Poquatuck Hall, Orient. Artists are invited to make a mask (not to be worn) for the ball. The masks will be on tables as well as displayed.
