Everywhere we turn these days, we see people in crisis. Individuals who have never before had to reach out for the services provided by United Way and our 15 partner agencies.
United Way of Lincoln County is a local partnership of people from all walks of life who are committed to helping others. It brings people together to accomplish human services work that could not be done by individuals. We are a volunteer-driven, local, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation governed by a local board of directors whose goal is to target needs and fund solutions to those needs here in Lincoln County.
We have provided a 50-year history of financial integrity. We set an example to the local charities. Our organization is as transparent as can be. We operate with one of the lowest overheads that are monitored by National Charities Information Bureau (a national charities watchdog organization).
Donations from the community have a significant impact on the people with whom we live, work, and play. It's not just a financial gift; it's the gift of encouragement. That's what it means to LIVE UNITED.
