Tourism Up In Lincoln County
The latest tourism and travel numbers released have revealed an increase in tourism in Lincoln County!
- Domestic tourism in Lincoln County generated and economic impact of $45.42 million in 2011. This was a 8.29% change from 2010.
- In 2011, Lincoln County ranked 57 in travel among North Carolina's 100 counties.
- More than 350 jobs in Lincoln County were directly attributable to travel and tourism.
- Travel generated a $7.10 million payroll in 2011.
- State and local tax revenues from travel to Lincoln County amounted to $3.85 million. This represents a $48.78 tax savings to each county resident.
- Popular attractions include Lake Norman and Duke Power's Energy Explorium

Legislators Luncheon
The pictures shown are from the Lincolnton-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce's Legislative Luncheon held at the Lincoln Cultural Center on August 8, 2012. The event was organized by the Chamber's Governmental Affairs Committee which is chaired by Christine Poinsette, Lincolnton Flea Market. Chamber members and guests heard presentations from United States Congressman Patrick McHenry, North Carolina Senator Chris Carney, and North Carolina House of Representatives Jason Saine. Following the presentations, a question and answer session was held between Chamber members and legislators.
