33rd Academic Achievement Awards Held May 24
The Lincolnton-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce and Lincoln County Board of Education held the 33rd annual Academic Achievement Awards Banquet on May 24, 2012, which honored the Top 10 Academic Seniors from North Lincoln, East Lincoln, Lincolnton, and West Lincoln High Schools. Guest speaker for the evening was former Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Jim Watson.
During the evening, the Top 10 Seniors were presented framed certificates recognizing their achievements. Also, scholarships were presented by Robert Bosch Tool Corporation, S. Ray Lowder Scholarship Committee, Lincoln County Home Builders, and the Chamber presented its James M. "Bo" Moore, Jr. scholarships, four scholarships in the amount of $1,000.00 a piece.

Legislators Luncheon
We are currently looking for sponsors for our August 8th Legislators Luncheon that will be held at the Lincoln Cultural Center.
If you or your company would like to sponsor this event, the cost is $100.
We have invited Congressman Patrick McHenry, Senator Chris Carney and House of Representatives Jason Saine. The purpose of this meeting will be to give our State and Federal elected officials an opportunity to update the Chamber's membership on what has transpired the last several months in both the North Carolina General Assembly and the United States Congress.
