Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting
Meineke Car Care

Meineke Car Care Center of Lincolnton located at 2009 East Main Street celebrated their Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting on April 5, 2012. Representatives from the Lincolnton-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce were on hand to conduct the ceremony and help celebrate the occasion.
Welcoming comments were made by Chamber President Ken Kindley, Mayor John Gilleland, and 2012 Chair of the Board, Buddy Collins. Meineke Car Care Center of Lincolnton is owned by Mr. Chuck Palmer. |

The Promotions and Public Relations Committee is one of the Committees within the Chamber.
This exciting committee is seeking new members and a possible Chair Person.
The purpose of the Promotions and Public Relations Committee is as follows:
- Promote the member to Member Discount Program and Shop Local Program
- Seek a New Fund Raiser for the Chamber
- Promote Chamber events to the Chamber Membership and the Community
- Work with the Chamber Staff to update promotional brochures and/or develop new materials
- Participate in the Apple Festival (Sept. 15th ) and Denver Days (Sept. 26th-29th)
- Help organize and participate in the Annual Art Crawl (March 15th, 2013)

Get Up & Network

The Small Business Administration is reminding businesses in North Carolina and South Carolina that working capital loans are still available to small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives and most private non-profit organizations that were affected by the severe storms and flooding that occurred on August 5, 2011. These working capital loans are available to businesses and non-profit organizations in the following counties: Cabarrus, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, Mecklenburg and Union in North Carolina; Lancaster and York in South Carolina
For additional information, call the SBA's Customer Service Center at 800-659-2955 (800-877-8339 for the deaf and hard-of-hearing) or send an email to disastercustomerservice@sba.gov. Loan application forms can be downloaded from the SBA's website at www.sba.gov. Completed applications should be mailed to: U.S. Small Business Administration, Processing and Disbursement Center, 14925 Kingsport Road, Fort Worth, TX 76155.
Those affected by the disaster may also apply for disaster loans electronically from SBA's website at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela/.
The deadline to return economic injury applications is May 19, 2012. |

Pictured are candidates for the North Carolina House of Representatives, District 97, that participated in the Lincolnton-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce's Candidates' Forum held April 17, 2012 at the Lincoln Cultural Center. From left to right are Mr. Jim Klein, Mr. Charles Newman, and North Carolina House Representative, Mr. Jason Saine.
Emcees for the forum included Christine Poinsette, Chair of the Chamber's Governmental Affairs Committee and Vice-Chair of the Governmental Affairs Committee, Tim Holder. The Chamber's Governmental Affairs Committee organized this year's forum which also included candidates running for Lincoln County Commission, North Carolina Senate, District 44, and United States House of Representatives, District 10. Participating candidates were allowed one minute for an introduction, 2 minutes to answer each question, and one minute to do a closing statement. | |
