According to the New York Times, the U.S. economy loses $650 billion a year because of unnecessary workplace interruptions. Most of this problem comes from actions associated with email. Such facts as: the average worker checks email 50 times a day and sends instant messages 77 times per day. How likely will American workers accept new restrictions on email? Very likely say some experts especially when we see what happens when gas goes up significantly, smoking is banned in restaurants and other 'changes' brought about by unacceptable consequences.
