Joint Committee on Finance to Meet Wednesday and Thursday this Week   

This week, the Joint Committee on Finance is scheduled to meet two days this week. The Committee will take action on the Governor's  2011-13 biennial budget on Wednesday, May 18, and Thursday, May 19.  

 

Speculation continues that the Committee will be done with its work just prior to the Memorial Day Recess.

Legislature in Session Again this Week

This week, the legislature will be back in session this week. However, only the Assembly will be session this week with a busy calendar for Tuesday, May 17.

AJR-3. Stars of Life (Kaufert) Honors Stars of Life honorees.

AJR-31. DOT (Petrowski) Constitutional amendment to create a Dept of Transportation, transportation fund and deposit of funds into the fund. (1st Consideration).

AB-18. Traffic Data (Bernier) Repeals statutes requiring collection and analysis of motor vehicle traffic stop information and related law enforcement training standards.

AB-30. Child Care (Kooyenga) Delegation by a parent, guardian, or legal custodian of a child of powers regarding the care and custody of the child by a power of attorney.

AB-86. Early Release (Suder) Repeals early release.

AB-88. Overweight Vehicles (Petrowski) Multiple trip permits for overweight vehicles transporting granular roofing material.
