Featured Property of the Month: Briggs Cove Marsh

The Sippican Lands Trust, Inc. is a non-profit organization founded in 1974 for the acquisition, management and protection of natural areas in Marion. The ultimate goal of the Trust is to protect wildlife, ecosystems and natural resources as well as the history, heritage and beauty of the area. Open land not only provides us with a sense of tranquility and pleasure now, but the protection of this land is our legacy for future generations.

Thank you for a great stewardship cookout!

On October 15th, Bill and Tinker Saltonstall hosted our annual Stewardship Cookout at their home on Front Street. As usual, it was a great opportunity for the stewards and their families to connect and learn about each other's parcels and what is going on at SLT. This year, the stewards all received new SLT hats. Thank you to Bill and Tinker for opening their home once again.

Gallison Woods Trail Cleanup Day was a Success!

On October 19th SLT had a Trail Cleaning Day at Gallison Woods. The volunteers did a great job of cleaning the trail, removing debris, and working on the invasives in just a few short hours. Their efforts are much appreciated.
